Parthenia, New York's premiere viol consort, will perform Semper Dowland, a concert on Saturday, May 7 at 3:00 and 7:00 PM at the Velez Blanco Patio of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1000 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan as part of MetLiveArts, the performance series at The Met.

 Composer Debra Kaye will celebrate the New York premiere of Ikarus-Duo for Binya performed by violinist Eriko Sato and violist Lois Martin on The National Association of Composers, USA "Spring Serenade" concert on Monday, May 9 at 8pm. The program features chamber music by living American composers and also includes works by Allen Brings, Dinos Constantinides, Edward Dulaney, Maz Lifchitz, Patricia Morehead and Betty Whishart.  Additional artists include violinist Debra Wong, cellist Marisol Espada, flutist Orlando Cela, and pianists Jery-Mae Astolfi, Allen Brings and Max Lifchitz. The concert will take place at Christ and St. Stephen's Church located at 120 West 69th Street (between Broadway and Columbus) in Manhattan.  Admission is free.

On Thursday evening May 5, North/South Consonance will mark the Cinco de Mayo holiday with a concert featuring recent works for string orchestra by composers from Mexico.

North/South Consonance, Inc continues its series of free-admission concerts on Tuesday evening March 15 when members of the North/South Chamber Orchestra perform first performances of recent works by composers representing three generations and various aesthetic points of view. Benet Casablancas, Christopher Ha Chun, David Colson, Max Lifchitz and Carlos Rodriguez. The works by Chun and Rodriguez are being performed in collaboration with the Texas-based American Festival for the Arts (AFA). The event will be held at the auditorium of Christ & St Stephen's Church (120 West 69th Street) on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The free-admission concert will start at 8 PM and end around 9:30 PM. The auditorium is ADA accessible. No tickets or reservations needed.

The North/South Chamber Orchestra continues its series of free-admission concerts on Sunday afternoon February 14, 2016. Flutist Lisa Hansen and trombonist Eddie Venegas will join conductor Max Lifchitz and the Grammy nominated ensemble for an eclectic program featuring first performances of action-packed works by Joel Feigin and Eddie Venegas as well as two other invigorating pieces performed previously penned by Max Lifchitz and Robert Martin.

This is the first event of their 2015-16 concert series, and is part of the New York Early Music Celebration 2015: El Nuevo Mundo, a Service Project of the Early Music Foundation.

On Monday evening March 16, the North/South Consonance Ensemble under the direction of Max Lifchitz celebrates the arrival of spring performing five nature-inspired works by composers from Israel, Hong Kong and the Americas.
