Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Andre Bishop (Artistic Director) and Bernard Gersten (Executive Producer), has announced that Stockard Channing, Stacy Keach, Linda Lavin and Elizabeth Marvel will be featured in the cast of its upcoming production of OTHER DESERT CITIES, a new play by Jon Robin Baitz, directed by Joe Mantello, beginning performances Thursday, December 16 at the Mitzi E. New York theater troupe Tectonic Theater Project will join our inaugural season with the national tour of The Laramie Project Residency. Written and directed by Tony and Emmy Award nominee Moisés Kaufman (Broadway and Arena's 33 Variations), The Laramie Project Residency features both The Laramie Project and The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, which debuted last fall with 150 simultaneous readings around the world, including one hosted by Arena Stage. This landmark production chronicles life in the town of Laramie, Wyoming, a year after Matthew Shepard, a 21 year-old gay student, was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die on the outskirts of the town. A month after the news of Matthew Shepard's death broke, the Tony award-winning, Broadway show producing, Tectonic Theater Project went to Laramie, and over the course of the next year, conducted more than 200 interviews with community members. From these interviews, Tectonic composed the play.

In response to the announced intention by Topeka, Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church to demonstrate against Hillsdale High School's upcoming production of The Laramie Project, the school is organizing a peaceful counter-protest.
Broadway stars Stockard Channing and Timothy Hutton will star in the new film, Multiple Sarcasms, alongside Laila Robins. Multiple Sarcasm, which features a play within the film, additionally showcases contributions by Broadway producer Milton Justice. The film opens in theaters on May 7, 2010.

The Set & Costume design is by Clint Ramos, lighting by Josh Bradford and Daniel Kluger is the sound designer.
