The cast of the new Broadway smash, Disney's Aladdin, was recently in the studio laying down tracks for the Original Cast Recording of the show, to be released by Walt Disney Records digitally on Tuesday, May 27th. The physical album is set for release on Tuesday, June 17th and will also be available for purchase in-theater. The Aladdin Original Broadway Cast Recording will be produced by Alan Menken, Michael Kosarin,Frank Filipetti and Chris Montan and executive produced by Kurt Deutsch. 50 Shades! The Musical - The Original Parody at The Elektra Theatre (300 W. 43rd Street) has announced a new summer schedule, beginning the week of May 5th. Directed by Al Samuels and Rob Lindley, 50 Shades! the Musical - The Original Parody is produced by Royal Mile Entertainment, Andrew Asnes, Rob Kolson, Brett McDonald and 50 Shades Tour LLC.

Multi-Platinum recording artist and actress Vanessa Williams officially joined the cast of Broadway's After Midnight on April 2nd as 'Special Guest Star.' Williams will play performances through Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th Street). Directed and choreographed byWarren Carlyle, After Midnight began preview performances on Friday, October 18, 2013, and opened on Sunday, November 3, 2013. Ramin Karimloo Reveals Inspiration Behind His LES MISERABLES Body

Anyone who has yet made it to the Imperial Theatre to see the new revival of Les Miserables is well aware of Ramin Karimloo's killer body. In a recent interview with the NY Post, Karimloo revealed the work that went behind achieving his Valjean physique.
He told NYP: 'Hugo says Jean Valjean was a man of medium height, broad-shouldered, robust and in the prime of his life,' Karimloo says. ' Whatever he did to keep himself fit and strong - and I'm sure he wasn't doing yoga in prison! - he had the wherewithal. So I thought, 'I'll start getting in shape.'

After Midnight will donate $5 from each ticket sold for the Tuesday, May 13th performance to the Harlem School of the Arts, now celebrating its 50th Anniversary. Directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle and featuring the big-band sounds of nine-time Grammy Award-winner Wynton Marsalis' Jazz at Lincoln Center All-Stars, After Midnight performs at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).
Breaking: ROCKY Original Broadway Cast Recording Gets May Release; Track List Revealed

Universal Music Enterprises, Stage Entertainment USA, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Sylvester Stallone announced today the forthcoming release of the new original Broadway cast recording of ROCKY, on May 27th, 2014 (UMe). ROCKY has an original score by the Tony Award-winning team Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Once On This Island), who are the album's producers; additionally the score incorporates the iconic songs 'Eye Of The Tiger' and 'Gonna Fly Now.' The musical, which opened Thursday, March 13th at the historic Winter Garden Theatre, stars Andy Karl as Rocky, Margo Seibert as Adrian (making her Broadway debut), Terence Archie as Apollo Creed and features a superb ensemble.

Prospect Theater Company will present the New York premiere of Jasper in Deadland, a new musical with book by Hunter Foster and Ryan Scott Oliver, and music and lyrics by Oliver, and starring Matt Doyle. Performances are March 16 through April 13 at the West End Theatre in the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew. A press opening is scheduled for March 26 at 7:30pm. Check out the promo photos below!
