The completely reimaged revival of Side Show took its much anticipated first bow on Broadway last night, October 28, at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). Amongst the crowd for the production's first preview were super-fans of the musical and an array of stars, setting the stage for the kind of excitement normally only seen at opening nights. Directed by Academy Award-winner Bill Condon, Side Show will have its official Opening Night on Monday, November 17. The all-new Broadway cast recording of Side Show will be released on Broadway Records in early 2015, producers announced today.

The complete Broadway cast for the critically-lauded reimagining of the musical Side Show has been announced. Under the direction of Academy Award winning director Bill Condon (Chicago, Dreamgirls, Twilight Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2), making his theatrical debut, Side Show will begin previews performances at Broadway's St. James Theatre on Tuesday, October 28 with an official Opening Night on Monday, November 17.

The York Theatre Company will present a staged reading of Benjamin Button, a new musical with music by Natalie Tenenbaum and book and lyrics by Brett Boles. Stephen Nachamie will direct. The musical is based on the short story authored by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

According to The New York Times, three sources in the theater industry have confirmed that producers of the re-imagined production, currently playing The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts through July 13, are in talks to bring the show to Broadway - as early as this fall.
