Pittsburgh CLO, with the families of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II and The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, will proudly present the 12th Richard Rodgers Award for Excellence in Musical Theater to award-winning composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz. The ceremony will be held at the 2009 CLO Guild's Pink Frolic Ball on May 9, 2009, at the Omni William Penn Hotel.

20th Century Fox 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring 'South Pacific: 50th Anniversary Edition' to Blu-ray on March 31st, day-and-date with the DVD re-release. This two disc set will present both the theatrical and roadshow versions of the film utilizing 2.20:1 1080p video accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

Friends In Deed has announced that famed author Fran Lebowitz has joined the upcoming One Night Only staged reading benefit of the infamous Broadway-play-that-wasn't, LEGENDS!. She will take the stage with fellow legends Charles Busch, Whoopi Goldberg and Lypsinka in the first-ever New York presentation of the play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner James Kirkwood (A Chorus Line), which will be presented on Monday evening, March 23 at 8PM at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC) has been honored with two nominations for the 2009 Helen Hayes Awards: 'Outstanding Lighting Design,' Daniel Covey; and 'The Canadian Embassy Award for Outstanding Ensemble, Resident Play.' Both nominations are for Rep Stage's June 2009 production of Naomi Wallace's 'In the Heart of America.' Rep Stage has been nominated for 39 awards and won seven during its 16-year existence.

Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, who have fashioned American musical history, are the Honorees of the 28th annual William Inge Theatre Festival in Independence, Kansas. Jones and Schmidt-perhaps best known for 'The Fantasticks,' the longest running musical in history-will receive the Inge Festival's Distinguished Achievement in the American Theatre Award during the festival, which runs April 22-25, 2009.

4th Wall Theatre, a non union professional theatre in Bloomfield, NJ is presenting Schmidt & Jones musical, I Do! I Do! as a Valentine for lovers of all ages. Starring in the 4th Wall production is the incredible team of Julie Waldman-Stiel and Will Lampe. Waldman-Stiel has toured the country with Topol in Fiddler on the Roof, the national tour of Cats, and was seen opposite Tony Award winner Michael Crawford in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber. Lampe has done NY and regional theatre and toured in the 1st National Company of Urban Cowboy: The Musical. The musical is a photo album of memories that follow the lives of two people through fifty years of a marriage: from the wedding night, to having children and all the trials, tribulations, laughter and tears that a couple endures. The musical originally paired Mary Martin and Robert Preston in 1966 on Broadway and was revived in 1996 with Karen Ziemba and David Garrison. The show will be directed by 4th Wall Artistic Director, Gregory G. Allen, music directed by Deborah Martin and choreographed by Randy Accardi. The musical will run two weekends from January 30 - February 8 at the Westminster Arts Center in Bloomfield. NJ. More info at www.4thwalltheatre.org. Rising Stars Children's Theater Presents Presents PETER PAN

The Riverdale Y's Jr. Rising Stars children's theater company begins its third season with the high flying musical of Peter Pan; opening Thursday, January 15, at 7pm. The show will run Saturdays, January 17, and 24, at 7:00 pm; and Sundays, January 18, and 24, at 7 pm; and Thursday, January 22, at 7pm. Matinees are offered on Sundays, January 18, and 24, at 2 pm.
