FAMILY DINNER - a new play by Michele Willens - will be given its world-premiere Off-Broadway this summer in a production directed by Jamibeth Margolis at the Beckett Theatre on Theater Row (410 W. 42 St.) in Manhattan, with previews beginning June 17 prior to an official press opening June 21.
MAC Award nominated songwriter Drew Fornarola (COLLEGE The Musical) and Broadway's Marshall Pailet (writer - 'On a Glorious Day;' Fringe's upcoming JURASSIC PARQ: The Broadway Musical) team up to rock the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Wednesday, June 23 at 9:30pm, joined by some of Broadway's top young talent. Fornarola and Pailet will present selections from their shows, as well as debuting a set of songs from their first full-length collaboration, SUPER CLAUDIO BROS.: A Videogame Musical, which will have its world premiere this summer in Washington, DC (commissioned and produced by the New Musical Development Foundation, executive producer Charlie Fink). The evening will be directed by Scott Elmegreen with music direction by Zak Sandler.

Open The Dark Door, the indie rock musical by David Lefort Nugent that confronts the modern American justice system, begins it's NYMF run October 8th at the American Theatre of Actors, running through October 17th. Starring in the production at the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival are Broadway's Mary Ellen Ashley (Annie Get Your Gun), Paul Kandel (Tommy, Titanic, Jesus Christ Superstar), Laura Jordan (Cry Baby), and Andrew McGinn (Coast of Utopia).
