BBC Worldwide America Sales & Distribution and PBS announced today they have signed a deal that brings a second season of the critically-acclaimed British drama CALL THE MIDWIFE to PBS, with new episodes to start airing on March 31, 2013, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The National Board of Review has deemed Kathryn Bigelow's ZERO DARK THIRTY the best film of the season. The award comes only three days after the film took the top honors in the New York Film Critics Circle awards.

AMC announced today that David Morrissey has been cast in the role of The Governor in the networks' critically acclaimed hit series, THE WALKING DEAD. Building on the success of the program's first two years, Focus Features will accept entries for a third year of its Africa First Program beginning Monday, May 17th and continuing through Monday, August 3rd. Focus CEO James Schamus made the announcement today.

Production has begun on One Day, the feature film version of the internationally praised novel of the same name by David Nicholls, which this month enters The New York Times bestseller list. Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess star in the movie. One Day is a co-production in the unique partnership of Random House Inc.'s Random House Films division and Focus Features. The U.K.'s Film4 is co-financing.
