The Rep Seeks Tiny Tim And Other Young Performers For A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is on the hunt for a "Tiny Tim" capable of delivering the most memorable and spirited line in  A Christmas Carol - "God Bless us everyone!"  In addition to the role of Tiny Tim, 15-18 other Young performer roles are available.  Young performers of all ethnicities, ages 7 - 17, are encouraged to audition for the rare opportunity of performing alongside seasoned professionals in this Milwaukee Holiday tradition.

Act II Programming Returns With UNTIL THE FLOOD At Milwaukee Rep

Milwaukee Repertory Theater presents Until The Flood performed by powerhouse creator and Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith in the Stiemke Studio beginning March 13 through April 22. With Until the Flood brings the return of the much praised and sought after community engagement program - Act II. After each of the 48 performances of Until The Flood a guest responder, representing a broad range of community leaders, will give a five minute response to the show, followed by small group facilitated discussions led by trained members of the Zeidler Center for Public Discussion.

Artists To Be Featured At 2018 Veterans Light Up The Arts Announced

More than a dozen military veteran performers and artists will showcase their artwork and talent at Veterans Light Up the Arts on Friday, March 9th at Radio Milwaukee from 5:30-8pm. The art show will feature performances from area veterans as well as a reception showcasing visual pieces by local veteran artists.

Ayad Akhtar And Milwaukee Rep Plan World Premiere Of AMERICAN DERVISH

Wisconsin native Ayad Akhtar, winner of the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and newly elected Milwaukee Rep trustee, and Artistic Director Mark Clements will adapt Akhtar's critically acclaimed first novel American Dervish for the stage to make its World Premiere at Milwaukee Repertory Theater in an upcoming season as part of the John (Jack) D. New Play Development Program. The Rep's multi-year exploration of Akhtar's work, including The Invisible Hand (2015/16), Disgraced (2016/17), The Who & The What (2017/18) and the upcoming regional premiere of his new Broadway play Junk in the 2018/19 65th Anniversary Season, have delighted audiences and reinforced The Rep's commitment to producing entertaining and thought-provoking world class theater.

When Joanne hires help to assist her with her aging father, she never expects Camila and Rafael Hernandez to be anything more than employees. Things begin to get complicated when Joanne finds herself growing closer to the pair than she ever could have imagined. Both humorous and thought-provoking, ONE HOUSE OVER opened February 27th and will run through March 25th.

Pulitzer Prize Winner Ayad Akhtar Joins Milwaukee Rep Board of Trustees

At its January meeting, the Board of Trustees of Milwaukee Repertory Theater unanimously elected Wisconsinite Ayad Akhtar, winner of the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, to its Board of Trustees. Joining Akhtar as part of the incoming class is Bladen Burns, SVP and Partner at Fiduciary Management, and Deborah Tomczyk, Partner and Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren. The appointments are effective immediately and each will serve a three-year term.
