Merman, Sinatra's ANYTHING GOES Gets 3/29 DVD Release

In 1954, Ethel Merman, at the age of fifty, reprised her role as Reno in a specially adapted television version of the musical, co-starring Frank Sinatra as the hero, now renamed Harry Dane, and Merman's good friend Bert Lahr (who had co-starred with her on Broadway in DuBarry Was a Lady) as Moonface Martin.

NCTC & San Francisco Asian Art Museum Presents GENDER MYSTIC, 4/21-24

NCTC in association with the San Francisco Asian Art Museum is proud to present Indonesian performing artist Didik Nini Thowok in Gender Mystic. The benefit will be held in NCTC's Decker theatre with four performances April 21 - 24, 2011: Thursday - Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. All performances will take place at The New Conservatory Theatre Center, located at 25 Van Ness Ave. near Market St. in San Francisco, 94102. Natalie Casey Joins West End's LEGALLY BLONDE as Paulette

From 26 April 2011 Natalie Casey will join the west end cast of the Olivier award-wining Legally Blonde The Musical to play ditzy beautician Paulette Buonofonté. She joins Susan McFadden as Elle Woods, Carley Stenson as Margot, Nicola Brazil as Serena, Siobhan Dillon as Vivienne and Peter Davison as Professor Callahan. Natalie Casey takes over the role from Denise Van Outen, whose last performance will be Saturday 23 April. From mid-June Lee Mead will join the west end cast to play Emmett Forrest.

The Knot of the Heart is designed by Peter McKintosh with lighting by Tim Mitchell and sound and music by Dan Jones.

Ten Chimneys, offering a revealing look at Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, will be presented in a staged reading starring Dana Ivey (The Importance of Being Earnest), Boyd Gaines (Driving Miss Daisy) and Lisa Banes (Go Back to Where You Are) by The Acting Company on Monday, March 14 at 7pm at the Mainstage Theater of Playwrights Horizons, 416 West 42nd Street. Directed by David Ira Goldstein, artistic director of Arizona Theatre Company, where Ten Chimneys had its recent World Premiere, the play is by Jeffrey Hatcher (Tuesdays with Morrie, Murder by Poe).
