Lone Star Theatre Company presents a night of original music by playwright/songwriter, David Davila, tonight, Feb 17th at Stage 72 at the Triad Theatre.

Nearly fifty visual artists, writers, and actors participate in 10X10on10, a collaborative event of Alchemy Initiative and WAM Theatre. 10X10on10 is a multi-media theater and visual art exhibition exploring women's lives and inspiration throughout life's decades. The event is part of the 2nd annual 10X10 Upstreet Art Festival. The six performances and opening and closing art receptions will be held at Y Bar in Pittsfield from today, February 16 - 24.

The Dallas Opera has announced a return to four mainstage productions for the company's bold and dazzling 2013-2014 Season in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

24-year-old performer Margot Bingham currently stars as the female lead in the hit web series In Between Men. In Between Men examines the lives of the four young men and one woman from different walks of life and of differing sexualities, who do not fit into the lives and perceptions expected of them in New York City. The web series became a major hit in its first season with over 2 million viewers in 150 countries. The much anticipated Season 2 premiere debuts today, February 12th, 2013 worldwide.

Dance Currents Inc. is presenting “Chaos or Connection: Living the Legacy of Modern Dance.” This event is designed to pique your interest in the preservation, use and future adaptability of Modern Dance Repertory. We will be presenting scenes from a movie in the making, “Living the Legacy of Modern Dance,” historical and current repertory and a panel discussion on the current and future state of Modern Dance.

Imagination Stage has yet another successful production on its hands with this one. It's definitely recommended.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival recently announced the casting of the first eight actors for the 2013 season. All are familiar faces, having appeared at the Festival in the past. Actors slated to appear thus far are Corey Jones, Melinda Parrett, Henry Woronicz, Roderick Peeples, Melinda Pfundstein, Quinn Mattfeld, David Ivers, and Barbara Bednarczuk.

Signature Theatre presents The Dance and the Railroad written by David Henry Hwang and directed by May Adrales. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs through March 17, 2013 with a February 25 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). TACT/The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Jenn Thompson, Co-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed company 'dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit,' and named '2012 Company of the Year' by Terry Teachout of The Wall Street Journal, announces the cast and creative team for Happy Birthday by Anita Loos, the final production of the company's 20th Anniversary Season. Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Scott Alan Evans, performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, March 12th, 2013. Opening night is set for Thursday, March 21st at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through April 13th, 2013.

Anime Momotaro is a staging of a famous Japanese folktale that teaches powerful lessons about inner strength and the ability to stand up against bullying. Created and premiered by the Honolulu Theatre for Youth, Imagination Stage is bringing Eric Johnson (adaptor/director) and Alvin Chan (adaptor/choreographer) from Hawaii to develop an expanded version for Imagination Stage audiences. The Dallas Opera has announced that Broadway legend and Drama Desk and Tony Award-winning director, producer, playwright, and lyricist Jack O'Brien has been engaged to direct the company's world premiere production of GREAT SCOTT, a new, full-length opera by acclaimed American composer Jake Heggie (Moby-Dick) and the Tony Award-winning playwright/librettist Terrence McNally (Master Class) in their first joint opera since their groundbreaking masterpiece, Dead Man Walking.

Still on the Road-a documentary following twelve actors as they tour across America during The Acting Company's 37th season (2008-09)-premieres on greater New York PBS stations beginning Sunday, February 3 on Channel 13 at 1pm. Additional presentations are scheduled for Sunday, February 10 at 11pm on Long Island's WLIW and on Thursday, March 7 at 9 pm on New Jersey's NJTV. As independent filmmaker Sara Wolkowitz tags along, the actors spend seven months on a bus bringing theater to communities across the country that have little or no access to live performance. They experience the challenges of touring, develop the ability to adjust to all types of theaters and diverse audiences, teach students new ways to look at Shakespeare and cap the tour with praise from Charles Isherwood of The New York Times. Through conversations with Acting Company alums Kevin Kline, Rainn Wilson and Harriet Harris we learn that, with the exception of video games and Wi-Fi on the bus, not much has changed - and that is just as it should be. The documentary was coproduced by F. Richards Ford, III and Group One Productions.

Signature Theatre has announced that casting is confirmed and tickets go on sale Tuesday, January 29 for THE MOUND BUILDERS written by Lanford Wilson and directed by Jo Bonney. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs February 26 through April 7, 2013 with a March 17 opening night in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
