Performance Network Theatre invites artists and students of all skill levels to participate in their 2013 - 2014 Curriculum by offering a wide range of courses taught by the industry's top players beginning on October 12 with Acting for the Camera with award winning writer/director Christina Morales Hemenway, as the instructor.

CARRIE…the Musical will run today, September 20 through 29th, 2013, directed by Michael Shawn Starks.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that single tickets have gone on sale for the New York Premiere of John Pollono's celebrated Small Engine Repair, the comic thriller that premiered to rave reviews and sold-out audiences at L.A.'s Rogue Machine Theatre, where it won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for Playwriting, among many other honors. Keegan Allen, James Badge Dale, playwright/actor John Pollono, and James Ransone star in the production directed by longtime MCC collaborator Jo Bonney (MCC's The Break of Noon, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig). Small Engine Repair begins at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on October 30, 2013. An official opening night is set for November 20, 2013.

Mary-Louise Parker, star of Manhattan Theatre Club and MCC Theater's world premiere of Sharr White's The Snow Geese, will appear on Fox 5's 'Good Day New York,' as a live guest today, Monday, September 16 at approximately 9:30AM. Locally, the program can be found from 7-10AM on Fox 5. This strictly limited 11 week engagement will begin performances Tuesday, October 1, in preparation for aThursday, October 24 opening at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Signature Theatre has announced the full cast of this fall's world-premiere production of Pride in the Falls of Autrey Mill, written by Really Really playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo. Running in the ARK Theatre beginning October 15, this explosive family drama hits right at the heart of Signature's ongoing commitment to producing today's most exciting new plays.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the World Premiere comedy The Few by award-winning playwright Samuel D. Hunter (The Whale). Directed by Davis McCallum, The Few will run Sept. 28 - Oct. 27, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run Sept. 28 - Oct. 2. Deadline reports that NBC has locked a deal with playwright and screenwriter Neil LaBute for his new romantic comedy series HARMONY HOUSE.

PICT Theatre's fifth production of the season is the Pittsburgh premiere of Martin McDonagh's hilarious whodunit A Skull in Connemara, one of a the Leenane trilogy of plays written by the contemporary Irish playwright. McDonagh's dark humor features the colloquial idioms of the west of Ireland, its rugged landscape, and its even more rugged people. McDonagh wrote one of PICT's most popular shows, The Lieutenant of Inishmore. His short film Six Shooter won an Academy Award in 2006, and he was nominated for an Oscar for best original screenplay for In Bruges, a feature-length film in which two hitmen hide in the Flemish city of Bruges after a problematic job.

Randolph-Wright, a Resident Playwright through Arena Stage's American Voices New Play Institute and director of Motown the Musical currently on Broadway, joins forces with director Lucie Tiberghien (MCC Theater's Don't Go Gentle) to bring to life the tale of two fantastically different people discovering love in the most unlikely of places: war-torn Afghanistan. One, an emerging hip-hop artist, the other, a high-level Afghan interpreter, both fight to navigate the pitfalls of romance, religious differences and political unrest. Love in Afghanistan runs October 11-November 17, 2013 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle.

Perhaps the defining characteristic of Soho Rep, under the artistic direction of Sarah Benson, is the institution's commitment to artists creating surprisingly big theatrical events in its very small space on Walker Street. Soho Rep's 2013-14 season, announced today, provides ample evidence of that commitment, comprising two shows that are among the biggest the organization has ever produced: the New York premiere of David Adjmi's Marie Antoinette, directed by Rebecca Taichman and featuring Marin Ireland (Blasted); and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' An Octoroon, directed by Benson.
