With over 140,000 visitors each season, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre is now an essential part of summer in the city and, in 2012, with the eyes of the world on London, a destination for visitors from around the world. Celebrating this unique year, the theatre will present a repertory season of two major productions which will share the same creative team, led by Artistic Director, Timothy Sheader.

The Dramatists Guild of America and Northwestern University announce the selection of Nambi E. Kelley, Chelsea Marcantel, Lily Mooney, Bruce Murphy, Gwendolyn Rice, Gloria Bond Clunie, Steve and Karen Multer and Ethan Deppe for the second annual Dramatists Guild Chicago Intensive supported by the Dramatists Guild and hosted by Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Based on the novel by E.L Doctorow, Terrence McNally's script weaves together the story of three groups in America, represented by Coalhouse Walker Jr, a Harlem musician; Mother and her family in New Rochelle; and Tateh, a Jewish immigrant who has come to America with his daughter seeking a new life. It features many historical figures, including Harry Houdini, Booker T. Washington, JP Morgan and Henry Ford.
