This version, specifically adapted for young audiences is presented in family-friendly matinees with a special early evening performance on Mondays.

Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone jsut announced complete casting for the upcoming musical, ROCKY. The previously announced cast members, Andy Karl (Rocky), Margo Seibert (Adrian), Terence Archie (Apollo Creed), Dakin Matthews (Mickey) and Danny Mastrogiorgio (Paulie) welcome principal Jennifer Mudge, who will play Gloria, the girlfriend of Paulie, Adrian's brother.

Including the Dr Seuss stories Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hears a Who! and The Cat in the Hat, this family-friendly musical by Tony and Drama Desk Award winning team Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens and co-conceived by Monty Python's Eric Idle returns for a second year at the Arts Theatre. A cast of 12 tell the story of Horton the Elephant and the tiny world of Who, interwoven with other madcap Seuss characters who pop up to help and hinder Horton and the Who he heard.
The Arvada Center will open A Christmas Carol, The Musical directed by Gavin Mayer on Tuesday, November 26 at 7:30 p.m. This Broadway rendition of a family holiday favorite will run through December 22 in the Main Stage Theater. Previews are November 22 - 24 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Please note: There will not be a performance on Thursday, November 28 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. An additional performance has been added on Sunday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m. Talkbacks will be offered Friday, December 6 after the 7:30 p.m. show and Wednesday, December 11 after the 1:00 p.m. show. Bailiwick Chicago has announced casting for its 2013-14 Season, which features two stunning musicals in their Chicago premieres. Leading the cast of the stirring musical drama DESSA ROSE are Sydney Charles as Dessa Rose (The Color Purple, The Mercury Theatre; Smokey Joe's Cafe, Theo Ubique) and Collective Member Harmony France as Ruth (Violet, Bailiwick Chicago-Jeff nomination; Tell Me on A Sunday, Bailiwick Repertory) with special guest artist Jayson "JC" Brooks as Nathan (Passing Strange, Bailiwick Chicago). The 2012 Off-Broadway revival version of the infamous 1988 musical CARRIE will star Callie Johnson (Pal Joey, Porchlight Music Theatre-Jeff Award; Next to Normal, Drury Lane Oak Brook) as Carrie and Katherine L. Playwrights Horizons has announced initial casting for the New York premiere production of STAGE KISS, a new play marking the eagerly-awaited return of two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl(Dead Man's Cell Phone at PH; The Clean House, In the Next Room...) to the theater company. Directed by Rebecca Taichman (Milk Like Sugar at PH; the current Marie Antoinette, Orlando, The Scene, Luck of the Irish), the production will begin previews Friday evening, February 7 at 8PM with an Opening Night set for Sunday, March 2 at 7PM. The limited engagement will play through Sunday evening, March 23 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).
The UK premiere of Ahren's and Menken's musical version of A Christmas Carol opens at the Tabard Theatre on the 6 December for the Christmas season.
