In a dilapidated house near the ever-shifting mouth of the Mississippi, Shelah's family gathers on a stormy night for her birthday -- bringing ghosts and secrets of the past with them. As her roof buckles under the weight of the rain, Shelah's convictions begin to wash away, leaving her to excavate the truths buried below. Directed by Tina Landau, the riveting Head of Passes comes to the Bay Area straight from its critically lauded world premiere in Chicago. Head of Passes is a co-production with the Public Theater in New York. It begins previews on Berkeley Rep's intimate Thrust Stage today, April 10, opens today, April 17, and runs through Sunday, May 24, 2015. Directed by Markus Potter (Stalking the Bogeyman), the reading will take place today, April 9 at the Manhattan Theater Club. Jason A. Quinn will stage manage the event.
Westport Country Playhouse will open its 2015 Season with the comedy, "The Liar," an adaptation by David Ives of Pierre Corneille's classic comedy that weaves an increasingly intricate web of lies leading to hilarious romantic misadventures. Celebrating the Playhouse's 85th season, the comedy will run May 5 - 23, directed by Penny Metropulos.

Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak announced today two additions to the Hartford Stage 2015-16 Season, including the world premiere of Rear Window, adapted for the stage by Keith Reddin, and directed by Darko Tresnjak. The play is based on the same short story-"Rear Window" by Cornell Woolrich-that inspired the Alfred Hitchcock film, a 1954 Academy Award nominee.

Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak will helm Kiss Me, Kate-his first musical since winning the 2014 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. A co-production with The Old Globe in San Diego, Kiss Me, Kate will play for only four weeks, from May 14-June 14.
