Sachs Directs Higgins, Hurley & More In LA Premiere Of SHINING CITY, Plays Fountain Theatre 9/12-12/19

Stephen Sachs will direct the Los Angeles premiere of Shining City, a modern-day ghost story from one of Ireland's most important young playwrights, Conor McPherson. Called 'an absolutely glorious new play... as close to perfection as contemporary playwriting gets' by The New York Times, Shining City will star Morlan Higgins, William Dennis Hurley, Kerrie Blaisdell and Benjamin Keepers. Performances take place September 19 through December 19 at The Fountain Theatre, with low-priced previews beginning September 12.

The Fountain Theatre continues its unique relationship with one of the world's greatest living playwrights, Athol Fugard, with the West Coast premiere of Coming Home. Stephen Sachs directs Matthew Elam, Deidrie Henry, Noah Murtadha, Thomas Silcott, Timothy Taylor and Adolphus Ward in Fugard's newest work, which opened June 20 and continues through August 29.

California International Theatre Festival Announces 2009 Season

California International Theatre Festival 2009 season is presented by the City of Calabasas with Linda Purl as Festival Director, M. Edgar Rosenblum as Executive Director and Joe Peracchio as Festival Producer. The Festival will take place in several Calabasas locations and will include distinguished international productions.
