MANIPULATION Begins Previews 5/14; Tickets Now On Sale

MANIPULATION, a world-premiere play by Victoria E. Calderon about one woman's struggle for freedom and self-discovery, is set to begin Off-Broadway previews May 14 prior to its official press opening June 16 at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) in Manhattan. Marilyn Fried directs.

Eileen Galindo Joins Cast Of GIRLS TALK, Closes 4/24

Roger Kumble, David Elzer and Molly O'Keefe are thrilled to announce that Eileen Galindo has joined the cast of the world premiere play, GIRLS TALK, written and directed by Roger Kumble (turnaround, d girl) and also starring Andréa Bendewald ('Suddenly Susan'), Leslie Bibb ('Talledega Nights'), Brooke Shields ('Lipstick Jungle'), and Constance Zimmer ('Entourage'). Brooke Shields to Join THE ADDAMS FAMILY as Morticia June 28

Broadway's hit musical comedy THE ADDAMS FAMILY welcomes stage and screen star Brooke Shields in the role of Morticia beginning Tuesday, June 28 at the Lunt Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). Two-time Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth will play her final performance in the role on Sunday, June 26. Ms. Shields will play opposite Roger Rees, who stars as Gomez.

'Life and Acting' Book Launches at The Drama Book Shop, 3/18, 20-21

Jack Garfein, theater-film director and acting teacher, has written a book, LIFE and ACTING: Techniques for the Actor (Northwestern University Press). Mr. Garfein is one of the last living links to the Golden Age of The Actors Studio. Required reading for anyone interested in theatre, the book is being launched with a signing at The Drama Book Shop this Friday, March 18th, 5:30-7:00 pm.

24/6: A Jewish Theater Company and New York's first one dedicated to Sabbath-observant artists, will present A DOLL HOUSE, a radically new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's world-renowned play directed by Ibsen scholar Yoni Oppenheim. The production will play on March 16th at 7:30 pm, March 20th at 9:30 pm and March 23rd at 7:30 pm. at The Tank, 354 West 45th Street (between 8th and 9th).
