The Secret Theatre is undergoing a big change as they close their old Little Theatre, and open a brand new Little Secret Theatre. The first thing to grace the stage of the New Little Secret will be the first annual UNFringed Theatre Festival, 5 unique new plays, on a brand new stage, in a brand new festival. Follow your Odysseus. This August, Brooklyn's Exquisite Corpse Company brings you Odd.A.See. An ambitious retelling of Homer's classic, Odd.A.See explores how the memories of violence haunt us, and how we struggle to find the courage to go home. The audience follows Odysseus through a labyrinth of worlds collaboratively re-imagined and brought to life by a company of nearly 50 artists - including writers, musicians, installation artists, actors, and designers.

From August 18 to September 8, 2013 Theater for the New City (TNC), under the direction of Crystal Field, Artistic Director, will present its fourth 'Dream Up Festival,' a festival of adventurous theater featuring new works from across the country and abroad. Curated by the theater's Literary Manager, Michael Scott-Price, the festival offers 24 plays, of which 23 are world premieres and one is an American premiere.

Secret Theatre Announces First Annual UNFringed Theatre Festival Lineup

The Secret Theatre is holding their first annual UNFringed Theatre Festival from August 15th-September 1st, dedicated to giving the stage to unique new works. Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) opened on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 with sold-out performances of The Rules of the World, written by Lavinia Roberts, and The Last Day of Oscar Wilde's Life, written by Adam Esquenazi Douglas. Now in its 11th year, the Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) is becoming New York's premiere winter/spring theatre event showcasing independent theatre artists looking to bring their work to wider audiences while offering them the resources they require to succeed. Downtown Urban Theater Festival Announces Finalists for 2013 Season

Next year will mark the much-anticipated 11th annual season of the Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) and from 120 submissions, DUTF has narrowed it down to 24 finalists. The decisions were extremely difficult due to the amazing plays received from gifted emerging writers who hail from across the U.S. and internationally from Canada, Israel and the United Kingdom.

Having read through all 700 entries, Papatango Theatre Company has announced the long list for this year's Papatango New Writing Competition in association with the Finborough Theatre. The standard of this year's entries was extremely high and cutting it down to just 26 was a very hard but rewarding task. This year's selection represents a truly eclectic mix with playwrights from all over the UK as well as successful international entrants from Ireland, the United States and New Zealand. Papatango thanks everybody who entered and congratulates the 26 playwrights that have made the longlist.
