The GRAMMY Foundation will host 'A Song Is Born,' the 16th Annual GRAMMY Foundation Legacy Concert (formerly the Music Preservation Project), featuring live musical performances and archival footage from its preservation archives on Jan. 23, 2014. Performers include GRAMMY winners Kris Kristofferson, Joy Willams, Paul Williams, and Dan Wilson; and GRAMMY-nominated songwriters Skylar Grey, John Rzeznik, Allen Shamblin, and J.D. Souther, as well as other artists to be announced shortly. The evening's musical director will beDarrell Brown, songwriter/producer and GRAMMY Foundation Board member. Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation, will be in attendance, along with other prominent music industry leaders and members of The Recording Academy.

It was announced last Saturday evening, from the stage of the Ryman Auditorium, that Ricky Skaggs will be the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's 2013 Artist-in-Residence. Skaggs will present two intimate evening performances on November 18 and 19, at 7:00 p.m. The concerts will be the museum's first public programs in the new CMA Theater.
