The Pittsburgh Premiere is directed by Vince Ventura and features Chris Cattell, Sarah Chelli, Sara Ashley Fisher, Matt Henderson, Stefan Lingenfelter, David Maslow, and Maura Underwood. Stupid f**king Bird remixes the classic Chekhov play The Seagull while examining the fairness of life, love, our culture, and our institutions. Stupid f**king Bird - Sort of Adapted From The Seagull by Anton Chekhov runs July 26 - August 12, 2018, at the Richard E. Rauh Studio Theatre in The Cathedral of Learning.

As the reality of his incarceration dawns, he comes up against the authoritarian Nurse Ratched, who is not about to give up her regime of discipline and order without a fight. Rebellion and conformity clash, and McMurphy and his fellow inmates learn what happens to the individual when the institution takes control.

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres Robert Hastie today announces that Jenny Livsey is to take over the role of Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Dale Wasserman from the novel by Ken Kesey following the withdrawal of Lucy Black after she suffered an injury on Sunday morning. Javaad Alipoor's production is currently in previews and opens on Tuesday 12 June, playing until 23 June.

After our intake interview with the Asylum's Dr. Spivey (Trent Mills), we were invited through the loading dock door into the showers where two asylum staff members required us to don our patient wear. Once we learned the rules for the evening's entertainment, double doors opened to reveal the Psych Ward, marvelously realistic with wired cage doors opening into the space where patients sat playing games at the tables around the center stage area. Nurses walked around handing out 'medication' while new patients interacted with the actor-patients playing cards or other games at tables, after which we were directed to look for clues to discover the secrets around the 'ward' which would lead us to our reward. No - I am not going to tell you what that reward was nor how to solve the clues. That is part of the fun!
