Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere production of a new holiday musical, Silver Belles.

Director Gaye Taylor Upchurch makes her Arena Stage debut working with Kathleen Turner (MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN, MOLLY IVINS) in the play adaptation of Joan Didion's memoir THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING. Upchurch talked with Broadway World's Jeffrey Walker about directing the play, working with Turner, and the power of the witty and honest look at grief.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 150 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 48th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 12-16, 2016 in multiple locations throughout the Center. Virginia's Signature Theatre presents the world premiere production of Kid Victory, a new musical from legendary composer John Kander (Chicago, Cabaret) and acclaimed playwright Greg Pierce (Slowgirl).
