The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical has its official Opening Night at Gielgud Theatre in London's West End tonight, Wednesday, April 14th.

New York's Public Theater, in association with Cameron Mackintosh, are delighted to announce that the Tony Award-winning Broadway cast of 'HAIR' have arrived at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End.

Last night, Wednesday April 7, New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, took in a production of HAIR in addition to center stage when he joined the Tribe in the post-show dance party. BroadwayWorld was there for the photo op!

HAIR began performances in London on April 1, 2010 and we've got some of the first pictures from the show's official photo call at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End!

Wednesday, March 31, marked the one year anniversary of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival, of Tony Award-winning production HAIR. BroadwayWorld was on hand at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre to celebrate with the cast post-show.

For its third show of its 30th anniversary season, Theatre for a New Audience will present the New York premiere of C.I.C.T. / Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord production of Love Is My Sin, the sonnets of William Shakespeare adapted by Peter Brook and performed by his wife, Natasha Parry and Michael Pennington.

New York City saw a different side of its typically conservative Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, when he donned extensions and hippie garb on stage with Broadway's cast of Hair at the Inner Circle fundraiser dinner on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Hilton Hotel. Also joining the cast on stage in celebration were Jersey Shore cast members Snooki and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino. Watch the clips of the performances below!

Broadway veterans Kevin Kern, Luther Creek, Crystal Joy and Phyre Hawkins have officially joined London's HAIR Tribe, which is set to begin performances at the Gielgud Theatre on April 1st. The join most of the original Broadway cast, which is making the transfer. A new Tribe opened on Broadway in early March.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2010-2011 theater programming. The season will feature: a Center-produced revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies; ON THE FRINGE: Eye on Edinburgh featuring new work by artists emerging from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; 11 and 12, directed by Peter Brook; Chekhov International Theatre Festival's Three Sisters and Twelfth Night; DRUID's The Cripple of Inishmaan; and Penumbra Theatre Company's new production I Wish You Love, as part of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays. Barbara Cook's Spotlight will bring six theater cabaret performers in its fourth season, and audiences will delight in touring productions of Hair, Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, Wicked, and Next to Normal. The Tony Award-winning Broadway production of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical will celebrate today's blizzard by offering all remaining tickets for tonight's performance (Friday, February 26 at 8:00 PM) for just $40.

According to published reports, as part of The Bushnell Theatre's 2011 season, the national tour of HAIR will play from April 26 through May 11. The tour of Tony award-winning revival has been directed by Diane Paulus with choreography by Karole Armitage.

According the the LA Times, Broadway LA has announced the 2010-2011 lineup for the Pantages Theatre. HAIR, SHREK THE MUSICAL, WEST SIDE STORY and ROCK OF AGES will all hit the Pantages stage this season in Hollywood.
