Kirsten Holly Smith (as Dusty Springfield) and Christina Sajous (as Dusty's lover, Claire), stars of the new musical Forever Dusty, have recorded a music video of "Baby It's Cold Outside," putting a new spin on the holiday classic. Michael Thomas Murray accompanies them on the piano.

HBO has picked up a comedy pilot based upon Michael Lannan's feature script LORIMER, Deadlined has reported this evening. David Marshall Grant and Sarah Condon have signed on as executive producers, along with Lannan. Andrew Haigh will helm the untitled pilot.
HBO has officially picked up a comedy pilot from GIRLS scribe Bruce Eric Kaplan, the network announced today. The pilot, PEOPLE IN NEW JERSEY, follows two siblings living just south of New York, who desperately attempt to get through life on a day-by-day basis. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's Lorne Michaels will produce alongside acclaimed director Jason Reitman and Kaplan.

SILENCE! The Musical will end its-month run Sunday evening, December 30th at the Elektra Theatre. The production will have played a total of 447 performances and eight previews. Originally announced as a strictly limited engagement through August 13, 2011, SILENCE! was extended numerous times by popular demand and transferred theatres twice, ultimately landing at the new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square, which was constructed especially for the show. SILENCE! opened at Theatre 80 on July 9, 2011 to unanimous rave reviews and spawned a highly successful L.A. production starring Davis Gaines and Christine Lakin.
Emmy(R)-Winning Comedy Series GIRLS, created by and starring Lena Dunham will return for Second Season on Jan. 13, Exclusively on HBO. Guest stars this season will include Andrew Rannells, Donald Glover, Chris O'Dowd, Rita Wilson, Jorma Taccone, Rosanna Arquette, Carol Kane and Patrick Wilson.
TVGuide.com reports that James Cromwell is set to appear in an unspecified number of episodes of the upcoming NBC midseason drama DO NO HARM. The actor will portray a 'renowned' surgeon on the show which stars Steven Pasquale.

To celebrate the conjunction of its 10th anniversary and the "end" of the Mayan calendar, Immediate Medium is creating an immersive, interdisciplinary group performance called The Future at the End of the World. Working with guest curator Andrew Horwitz, Immediate Medium has selected nine makers of dance, theater, performance, music and media to join them in the largely abandoned offices of the James A. Previews are set for Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012; Friday Dec. 21, 2012; and Saturday Dec. 22, 2012 all at 7:30 p.m. There is no performance on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. Opening night is Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 and the closing performance is on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.
Huntington Theatre Company announces its 2012-2014 cohort of Huntington Playwriting Fellows: Lila Rose Kaplan, Walt McGough, and Lenelle Moise. This artistically diverse group of writers began their two-year residency in September. They follow in the footsteps of renowned past Huntington Fellows Lydia R.
