Detroit Public Theatre is proud to announce the cast for Murder Ballad by Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash, September 28 - October 23 at the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center in downtown Detroit. The explosive rock musical is the first production in the theatre company's 2016-17 season and marks the US Debut for Italian pop sensation Arianna Bergamaschi.

The Edge Theater presents their first musical, the regional premiere of 'Murder Ballad,' August 26 through September 25 at 1560 Teller Street in Lakewood. Performances are Fridays, Saturdays and Monday, September 12 at 8 p.m.; Sundays at 6 p.m. There will be dancing in the King's Club on Fridays and Saturdays after the show. On Saturday, September 24 there is a special cabaret performance at 11:45 p.m. (no 8 p.m.performance) Tickets are $32; $40 on September 24 and available online at www.theedgetheater.com or by calling 303-232-0363.

West End megastar Kerry Ellis got her break understudying Martine McCutcheon in My Fair Lady, and has since played leading roles in numerous hit shows, including We Will Rock You, Wicked, Les Miserables, Oliver! and Cats. She's also collaborated with Brian May on several albums and tours. Her next big project is the UK premiere of American musical Murder Ballad, alongside Ramin Karimloo, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt and Norman Bowman. Ellis plays Sara, torn between her poetry student husband and bad-boy bartender lover.
