This week on PBS' SHAKESPEARE UNCOVERED, Morgan Freeman and 'THE TAMING OF THE SHREW' and David Harewood and 'OTHELLO'. The episode airs tonight, February 6, 2015 AT 9PM & 10PM.

Is it sexist or subversive? Morgan Freeman says he's always seen The Taming of the Shrew as a country tale, one that he feels is Shakespeare's most compelling comedy. In the next episode of Shakespeare Uncovered, Freeman takes a look at the play and explores that question, as well as what is at the heart of it all, love.

Shakespeare Uncovered continues with a second season on PBS, beginning tonight, January 30 at 9 p.m. (check local listings) and continuing the following two successive Todays.

Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy HARVEY directed by Lindsay Posner, will open at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on 6 February, running until 21 February. First produced on Broadway in 1944 where it ran for four years, this new production stars James Dreyfus as Elwood P. Dowd and Maureen Lipman as his sister, Veta.

The American premiere of Constellations, the acclaimed new play by Nick Payne, directed by Michael Longhurst, starring Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Golden Globe nominee for Nightcrawler; Brokeback Mountain) and two-time Olivier Award winner Ruth Wilson (Golden Globe winner for Showtime's 'The Affair;' BBC's and PBS' Emmy nominated 'Luther'), opened on Broadway last night, January 13 at MTC's Samuel J. Vertical Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights to Justin Reardon's “PLAYING IT COOL”, which stars Chris Evans, Michelle Monaghan, Martin Starr, Aubrey Plaza, Patrick Warburton, Topher Grace, Luke Wilson, Anthony Mackie, Ioan Gruffudd, and Philip Baker Hall.

Vertical Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights to Justin Reardon's “PLAYING IT COOL”, which stars Chris Evans, Michelle Monaghan, Martin Starr, Aubrey Plaza, Patrick Warburton, Topher Grace, Luke Wilson, Anthony Mackie, Ioan Gruffudd, and Philip Baker Hall. The film was previously known as “A Many Splintered Thing” during production. The deal was announced by the company's Co-President's Rich Goldberg and Mitch Budin, who plan to release the film in theaters in Q1 2015.
