Tufts University will honor Oliver Platt at the 6th Annual P.T. Barnum Awards For Excellence in Entertainment June 7. The event has been entitled 'From Ballou to Broadway' and will take place at the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center.

Jacob's Pillow kicks off Festival 2010 on June 19 with the Season Opening Gala, the world-renowned dance organization's biggest annual fundraising event. Following an exclusive Gala performance in the Ted Shawn Theatre and the presentation of the prestigious Jacob's Pillow Dance Award to choreographer and director Bill T. Jones, guests are treated to dinner and dancing to live music. This evening is widely celebrated as a signature summer event in the Berkshires and attracts a multitude of dance lovers, celebrities, government dignitaries, and visitors from around the world every year.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that Zach Braff, Bobby Cannavale, Sutton Foster, and Ari Graynor will co-star in the world premiere comedy TRUST, written by Paul Weitz, directed by Peter DuBois. Mr. Weitz returns to Second Stage Theatre, where his plays Privilege and Show People premiered in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Directed by Peter DuBois, who staged Second Stage's acclaimed production of Becky Shaw, TRUST will begin previews on Friday, July 23 at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street) and officially open on Thursday, August 12. The production runs through September 5.

Jacob's Pillow announces its 2010 full season calendar, including more than 200 free performances, talks, photography exhibits, tours, and events. Free event highlights include the Blake's Barn exhibit Lois Greenfield: Imagined Moments, featuring Greenfield's signature dance photography, and 'Let's Dance!' a new community event on July 4 with free dance classes and workshops for teens and adults. PillowTalks, held Thursdays at 5pm and Saturdays at 4pm, include Virginia Johnson, recently named Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem (June 24), choreographer/director Bill T. Jones (July 22), and the return of Pulitzer Prize winner Jules Feiffer (July 31). Inside/Out performance highlights include the all-female hip-hop group Decadancetheatre (July 7), the dancers of The School at Jacob's Pillow's first ever Tap Program (July 10), alumnus of The School at Jacob's Pillow and Artistic Director of his own ensemble, Avi Scher (July 23), and ¡Flamenco Revolución! (August 27).
