'Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins,' Stephen Temperley's comedy with music opens July 5th at Palm Beach Dramaworks.

The current national tour of the Stephen Sondheim/Hugh Wheeler musical 'Sweeney Todd' blew into the Windy City for a two-week engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre this week, revealing that the show is so strong as originally written that almost any style of storytelling will reveal its truths. If this fact doesn't mark the show as a true performing arts masterwork, then I don't know how anything else could. This show, and this metaphor-laden production of it, are miraculous in their revealing of the human condition.

The Tony nominated actress and singer Sharon McNight is poised to unleash a star-shower of erudite show business fun in her new one-woman show 'Gone, But Not Forgotten.' The New York premiere of 'Gone, But Not Forgotten' plays two only, Friday and Saturday April 25 and 26 (both at 10pm), at The Metropolitan Room, marking the much-anticipated return to New York of the West Coast-based McNight.

Before heading to Broadway, Mark Nadler will bring his one-man comedy-in-music adventure, Russian on the Side, to the Royal George Theatre Mainstage, 1641 North Halsted Street in Chicago, for a limited eight-week engagement, April 30 - June 15, 2008. The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will soon find Randolph Street when Broadway In Chicago presents the new national touring production of 'Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph St.) from April 23 - May 4, 2008.

The national touring production of Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, will begin performances at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles beginning with one preview on March 11 at 8 p.m. and is set to run through April 6.

Without auditioning or formally training in dance, Jimmy has performed in four hit musicals on Broadway.

Berkshire Theatre Festival Artistic Director Kate Maguire is pleased to announce the company's 2008 80th anniversary season, which will extend from May 22 through December 30 and be the longest-running season in the company's history.

It is indeed perhaps the finest work ever to grace any theater at any time. It is difficult to ascertain that this is even the great master, Stephen Sondheim's, truest masterpiece. It probably is. However, with the gifts of COMPANY, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, FOLLIES, INTO THE WOODS, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, PACIFIC OVERTURES, ASSASSINS, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, GYPSY, and WEST SIDE STORY among others on his resume, it takes a huge amount of thought and commitment to go out on a limb and say that SWEENEY TODD is Sondheim's master achievement.

Toronto loves its theater and always has a diverse selection available throughout the year. This winter theatergoers to Broadway's north is no exception with such musicals as 'Sweeney Todd' (an international Tour featuring Judy Kaye alongside revival cast member's Lauren Molina and Benjamin Magnuson), Queen's jukebox spectacle 'We Will Rock You', Dirty Dancing' and the holiday appropriate, 'White Christmas' which features several well-known New York based performers such as (married in real life) leads Kate Baldwin and Graham Rowat.
