LGBT Community Center Announces Bock, Cullman, Pawk In A SMALL FIRE

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center Speakers series in collaboration with Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) is pleased to announce an evening of engaging conversation about the theater company's upcoming world premiere of A Small Fire, a new play by Obie Award winner Adam Bock (The Drunken City at PH, The Receptionist, The Thugs, Swimming in the Shallows), featuring Mr. Bock, director Trip Cullman (Adam Bock's The Drunken City at PH and Swimming in the Shallows) and Tony Award-winning actress Michele Pawk (Hollywood Arms, Merrily We Roll Along, Chicago, Caberet and Seussical).

PICT Presents Comic King Lear, Opens 12/2-18

Henry Horatio Hobson's three bossy daughters are driving him to drink, and the end result is comedy in the PICT production of Harold Brighouse's 1914 classic, Hobson's Choice.

Burning Coal Presents CROWNS, 12/2-19

Burning Coal Theatre Company, a small professional theatre based in Raleigh, North Carolina announces its upcoming production of Crowns by Regina Taylor, directed by Rebecca Holderness. The production will run December 2 - 19, 2010 at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 or $15 for students, seniors and active military. Thursday night tickets are $10 apiece. Student rush tickets are available at every performance for $5 apiece, availability pending.

Playwrights Horizons to Host Holiday Craft Fair, 12/14

Acclaimed theater company Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) will host its second annual Holiday Craft Fair on Tuesday, December 14 from 1PM to 4PM in Playwrights Horizons' festively made-over Ford Motor Company Lobby (416 West 42nd Street). Featuring works created by PH's very own staff, the crafts for sale will include jewelry, knitwear, handmade greeting cards, homemade jam and much more!

Laguna Playhouse Announces Cast for DADDY LONG LEGS

Casting has been announced for The Laguna Playhouse's World Premiere co-production (with Rubicon Theatre Company, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, TheatreWorks, David Elzer and Michael Jackowitz) of the romantic musical Daddy Long Legs, running November 30 - December 26 at The Laguna Playhouse.

The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre's 50th Anniversary Season comes to a festive close with the return of everyone's favorite Sisters of Hoboken in NUNCRACKERS: THE NUNSENSE CHRISTMAS MUSICAL November 13th-21st. The Sisters of Hoboken have turned the convent basement into a TV studio and are producing their first ever Christmas Special for cable access. This hilarious musical is filled with singing and dancing nuns, a very unique rendition of the Nutcracker as well a host of hilarious new songs.

Broadway SD Presents NEXT TO NORMAL, 1/18-23

Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award® for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning Next to Normal, will reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's 36-week multi-city North American tour, launching in November.
