Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records website has the New Broadway Cast Recording of Hair as one of their forthcoming releases, the recording rights were rumored to have been won by Sh-K-Boom. This listing on the website would seem to confirm it.

The producers of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical have announced the cancelleation of the Monday, March 30th performance of the show 'to allow the company a day of rest in the midst of a long string of consecutive performances.'

In anticipation for letting the 'sun shine in' on Broadway, the sexy cast of HAIR let it all hang out for the newest issue of Time Out New York magazine, the talented crew let the flesh fly.

Situation Interactive announced the launch of its HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical web initiative in support of the Broadway musical. Last holiday season, due to the 2007 Broadway stagehands' strike, fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and sales of its annual holiday CD, Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, were gravely impacted. With most theaters dark, the main source of sales of the CD was cut off. Stephen DeAngelis, NYC casting director and Artistic Director from the Engeman Theater, contacted Lynn Pinto, Executive Producer of Carols for a Cure, to see if they could sell the CDs to help make up for strike losses. The Engeman Theater sold hundreds of the CDs. In gratitude, Ms. Pinto invited performers from the Engeman Theater to record a track of their own for the 2008 CD.

Musicals Tonight! continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys and Understudies with its next edition of At This Performance… to be held on Monday, October 20th at New York's McGinn/Cazale Theatre. The evening celebrates the popular concert series' 5th Anniversary.

The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport's current cast of Little Shop of Horrors has been invited to join the casts of the 2008 Broadway season on Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, (Volume 10). The recording is a two-disc set featuring 36 original and traditional holiday songs which is released during Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' (BC/EFA) annual six week 'Gypsy-of-the-Year' period. The 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition will also feature highlights from Volumes 1-9 of Carols for a Cure as well as the premiere of a new song by Elton John and other bonus tracks.

Jeremiah Theatricals will begin previews of the New York City premiere of THE TIME OF MENDEL'S TROUBLE, a madcap musical of biblical proportions, on Friday, July 18, 2008. The production will have its official opening on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row.
