Reuters has confirmed last month's reports that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will take on the role of Edward Snowden in Oliver Stone's upcoming film THE SNOWDEN FILES: THE INSIDE STORY OF THE WORLD'S MOST WANTED MAN.

Miramax, the global film and television producer and distributor, along with the film's producers AntColony Films and Brightlight Pictures announced today the start of principal photography on the supernatural thriller The 9th Life of Louis Drax starring Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey, The Fall), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Need for Speed, Triple Nine) and Sarah Gadon (Dracula Untold, The Amazing Spider-man 2).

Even a year after Edward Snowden released NSA files, the interest in his story seems to have no end. According to ComingSoon.net, in addition to the Laura Poitras documentary, Citizen Four (set to premiere Oct. 24), filmmaker Oliver Stone is also working on a film about the incident, called THE SNOWDEN FILES: THE INSIDE STORY OF THE WORLD'S MOST WANTED MAN. There is a rule that is generally accepted by all movie fans; while a sequel might eclipse its original in box office receipts, merchandise sales, and social media presence, it is only on rare occasions when it can match its predecessor in terms in quality. That rule is especially true when it comes to originals that are marked by an innovation or creative flare that revolutionizes, or defies, its genre. Unfortunately, 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' is not one of those rare occasions. Titular grammatical error aside, this listless sequel provides none of the awe-inspiring spectacle of its far superior original.
