Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the producers behind the blockbuster smashes of 'Chicago' and 'Hairspray' on the big screen are hard at work on two new hour-long television series for Fox and NBC, respectively.
Lifetime Television's break-out hit of the summer, Drop Dead Diva, scored its highest ratings ever among Women 18-49 (2.0), a 25% increase over its season-to-date average, and Women 25-54 (2.3), a 28% increase over its season-to-date average. The one-hour original comedic drama starring Brooke Elliott has built upon its audience for three consecutive weeks among the key demographics.

The July 12, 2009, premiere of Drop Dead Diva averaged a 1.6 rating, a 148% increase from the 9:00 PM time period's prior four-week average, among the highly coveted advertiser demographic of Women 18-49 and a 1.9 among Women 25-54, a 158% increase from the prior four week average. In Households, Drop Dead Diva scored a 2.2 rating, up 103% from the prior four week time period and averaged more than 2.8 million total viewers, a 129% jump from the prior same four weeks.
