The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera presents its spring production, La Traviata, this Sunday at the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC). Last performed by the nonprofit company in 2006, Verismo Opera will present Giuseppe Verdi's opera on April 6, 3:00 p.m., at the bergenPAC, located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood.

When the curtain opens and the lights strike the stage on April 6, the New York City Opera will be seen in the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera's new production of Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata. Last performed by the company in 2006, Verismo Opera will present this iconic opera with resplendent sets used by the New York City Opera for several decades to present this lavish production on Sunday, April 6, 3:00 p.m., at the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC), 30 North Van Brunt Street, in Englewood, New Jersey.

The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera announces eight winners and finalists in the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera 2013 Annual International Vocal Competition. Ewa Plonka, a mezzo-soprano from Austin, Texas, received first place and a $2,000 award. Young Joo An, a baritone from New York, New York, was awarded second place and a $1,000 prize. Baritone Robert-Heepyoung Oh from Binghamton, New York received third place and a $500 prize.

HGTV and DIY Network, leaders in home and renovation lifestyle media, will command a presence at the 2014 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Builders' Show (IBS), which are combined under one roof for the first time Feb. 4-6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

In fact, the Sunday finale was a top 5 program in all of cable for the night among upscale A25-54 viewers in households with 100K plus income. During its six-week run, the series was up 100% over the same time period last year and was a top 4 regularly scheduled Sunday night cable series among upscale A25-54. In addition, 12.5 million viewers tuned in to the series and 57 percent of the show's A25-54 prime viewers reside in households with $100k plus incomes -- 117% higher than the cable average.
