American composer/storyteller JEROME KITZKE today announces the July 29th release of his new album The Paha Sapa Give-Back (Innova Records). Known for creating works that are uniquely and bracingly American, where freedom and ritual converge, Kitzke shares his career-long dedication to social justice in a new recording featuring some of his best work composed over the past 15 years. The composer's convictions are remarkably interwoven within the music and text of three intensely theatrical pieces that collectively take listeners on a piercing journey brimming with ceremonial power and beauty.

Music at First presents the music of American composer/storyteller Jerome Kitzke in a concert celebrating his upcoming album The Paha Sapa Give-Back (Innova - tbr 7/29/14) and the New York City premiere of an excerpt from Buffalo Nation (Bison bison) (2012), a theatrical musical historical survey of the bison in North America. Known for creating works inspired by American life, politics and literature, the program also includes The Character of American Sunlight (1996) featuring Kitzke's ensemble The Mad Coyote, and Winter Count (2008) performed by premier string quartet, ETHEL, and actor Jennifer Kathryn Marshall. Lincoln Center Announces OUT OF DOORS 2014 Summer Festival Lineup; Runs 7/20-8/10

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. Jane Moss, Ehrenkranz Artistic Director, today announced the 48th season of Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, New York's acclaimed annual summer celebration of classical music, which runs from July 25-August 23, 2014. This year's Festival will feature more than 35 events across several venues including concerts, opera, dance, pre-concert recitals and lectures, late-night performances, contemporary music, and premieres of two commissioned works. The Festival kicks off with two free events: the world premiere of a new work by John Luther Adams, performed July 25 and 26 for free on Hearst Plaza, in a joint presentation with Lincoln Center Out of Doors, and continuing an annual tradition, the free preview concert by the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall on July 26. Renee and Robert Belfer Music Director Louis Langree returns for his 12th season to conduct the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, which will perform a wide range of works anchored by the Festival's featured namesake. Mostly Mozart will also present world-renowned artists and returning Festival favorites, such as violinist Joshua Bell, Mark Morris Dance Group, Emerson String Quartet and Artists-in-Residence International Contemporary Ensemble, as well as 14 Festival debuts, including pianists Yuja Wang and Steven Osborne, and violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja.

Conducted by YPC Artistic Director and Founder Francisco J. Nuñez, the evening focuses on a musical world of Missy Mazzoli. It encompasses an entire evening of premieres of specially selected music from Missy's acclaimed collection of genre-bending works interpreted, set, and adapted for the first time for an ensemble of young voices and Victoire, Missy's all-female band.
