Moving into its 26th season, Shadowland Theatre follows its record-breaking 25th anniversary season with five new productions, including GUEST ARTIST, the comic drama written by actor Jeff Daniels and stars Academy Award nominee John Astin. The season begins June 4 and will run until October 3rd.

Playwrights Theatre is collaborating with Premiere Stages at Kean University to produce Tammy Ryan's beautiful play, Lost Boy Found in Whole Foods (September 2 trough 19) in the Zella Fry Theatre on the Kean University campus, located at 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.

Playwrights Theatre is pleased to announce the winners of the 27th Annual New Jersey Young Playwrights Contest. From the over 350 plays submitted by young writers throughout the state, a panel of theatre professionals has selected four High School plays, four Junior High School plays and four Elementary Schools plays.

Playwrights Theatre is pleased to present the New Jersey Premiere of Mahida's Extra Key To Heaven by Russell Davis. It will preview on April 22 and run for three weeks through May 9, 2010 (Press Opening: Friday, April 23 at 8:00pm). The production will be directed by John Pietrowski and features Mariam Habib*, Jack Moran*, Jane Blass* and Ryan Shams*. Single tickets are on sale now for $15. A student (appropriate for ages 13 and up) and senior matinee is scheduled for Wednesday, April 28 and May 5 at 10:30am and Ladies Night at the Playwrights Theatre will be held on Thursday, April 29 beginning at 5pm with curtain at 6:30pm. After nine seasons as Artistic Director, Lenny Bart will be leaving 12 Miles West to become the new Artistic Director of Pushcart Players.Since joining 12 Miles West in 2001, Bart has lead this small professional theatre company from the brink of closure, helping to eliminate a mountain of debt and expanding programs while continuing to build the company's reputation for mounting quality productions of new and lesser known plays.
