At this morning's Television Critics Association press tour, Showtime announced that it has picked up two new series, including a comedy from Philip Seymour Hoffman

The producers of the HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH have announced that KINKY BOOTS' Lena Hall will play the role of Yitzhak in the upcoming Broadway premiere of the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed by Michael Mayer.

The gritty rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, starring Chad-Alan Carr as a transgender singer and 'internationally ignored song stylist' from East Berlin, Germany, will appear live on Stage on Herr at HMAC on January 17, 2014 at 8:00 PM and January 18, 2014 at 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Featuring a book by John Cameron Mitchell and a score by Stephen Trask, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a musical comedy about a fictional rock 'n' roll band, fronted by Hedwig (Carr), a transgender woman and 'internationally ignored song stylist' from East Berlin. The score includes memorable tunes 'Tear Me Down,' 'Wig in a Box,' 'Wicked Little Town' and 'Origin of Love.' The show features Lindsay Bretz-Morgan as Yitzhak and Kenny Geist, Michael Giblin, Tom Kristich, and Adam Rineer as the band, the Angry Inch.

Jinkx Monsoon) has a lot to crow about. And now with three upcoming shows in December (including a remount of the aforementioned "Hedwig"), it seems Jinkx is taking over the Holidays as well. I recently had a conversation with Jerick in between his many rehearsals to see how his whirlwind life has been going since the win.
