The Dallas Opera is pleased to announce the sale of one-price, single reserved seats for the world premiere of a new song cycle by composer Jake Heggie and librettist Gene Scheer commissioned for the company's much-anticipated annual Spring Gala, UNVEIL.

A strong lineup of productions for the 2010-11 season continues Children's Theatre of Charlotte's commitment to providing theatre that entertains, challenges and inspires young people and families. In its 63rd year, the Theatre presents a wide range of shows, including musical spectacular Disney's Aladdin, the return of popular holiday production Scrooge! and several storybook adaptations that are new to area audiences.

American Museum of Natural History, located at Central Park West at 79th Street will exhibit Body and Spirit: Tibetan Medical Paintings, an exhibition of 64 Tibetan medical paintings (also known as tangkas) from the American Museum of Natural History's collection, opens Tuesday, January 25, in the Museum's fourth-floor Audubon Gallery, and will run through July 17, 2011.

The Metropolitan Opera Guild has today elected attorney Richard J. Miller, Jr. as its new President. Mr. Miller joined the board of the Guild in 2005 and has been Treasurer for the last two years. He replaces Susan S. Braddock, who served for eleven years as the tenth president of the Guild.

A season of celebration in honor of Music Director Carl St.Clair's 20th Anniversary culminates on Tuesday, May 18, at 8 p.m., in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, with a very special evening of music, featuring classical music superstar Joshua Bell. Like no other violinist of recent times, Bell has captured the imaginations of both critics and audiences; Interview magazine once said his playing 'does nothing less than tell human beings why they bother to live.' The evening's concert was specially programmed by St.Clair to include music that holds special meaning for him, with guest artists he considers close friends, including pianist Benjamin Pasternack, baritone Christòpheren Nomura, and Pacific Chorale, led by John Alexander.
