Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director Daniel Evans today announces the full cast for the forthcoming productions of Shelagh Delaney's seminal work A Taste of Honey in the Crucible Theatre and the world premiere of DC Moore's Straight in the Studio Theatre.

New St James Theatre Announces First Season Of Work

St. James Theatre, the first newly-built theatre complex in central London in 30 years, will open to the public in early August 2012, rising from the site of the former Westminster Theatre at 12 Palace Street in the heart of Victoria. Tim McInnerny, Samantha Bond and Georgia Moffett will be joining Omid Djalili in Joe Orton's great British comedy WHAT THE BUTLER SAW, which will open at the Vaudeville Theatre on Wednesday 16 May, following previews from Friday 4 May, for a strictly limited season, ending on Saturday 25 August.

Omid Djalili returns to the West End stage to star as Dr Rance in Joe Orton's comedy WHAT THE BUTLER SAW directed by Sean Foley. The new production will open at the Vaudeville Theatre on Wednesday 16 May, following previews from Friday 4 May, for a strictly limited season, ending on Saturday 25 August.

THE HOUNDING OF DAVID OLUWALE is the true story of David Oluwale, a Nigerian immigrant who came to Leeds in search of a new life but found only brutality and the determination of one man to find him justice. On the 4th of May 1969 a bruised and swollen body was pulled from the River Aire in Leeds. Identified as that of David Oluwale, a local homeless man, his death exposed a campaign of systematic police brutality which shook the city of Leeds and led to the imprisonment of 2 police officers accused of his murder. Adapted by Oladipo Agboluaje, from Kester Aspden's award winning book of the same title, this Eclipse Theatre world premiere production will be staged at (venue) on (dates) in the 40th anniversary year of the death of David Oluwale as part of a UK tour.
