New York City-based Americana band JD & The Straight Shot will release its vibrant sixth studio album Good Luck And Good Night on September 15th.

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that blues legends Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo' is bringing their new national tour TAJMO: THE TAJ MAHAL AND KEB' MO' BAND to the historic State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) today, Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m.

With only days before the first preview performance of Part of the Plan (followed by a gala opening night on Sunday, September 10), the new musical drawing its score and inspiration from the catalog of troubadour Dan Fogelberg, the widely respected singer/songwriter who spent much of his early career in Nashville, attention should be paid to the motivating factors that led the producers to debut their show in Music City - with a look at the show's roots that are firmly planted in Tennessee.

Earlier this year, Pegi Young & The Survivors released Raw, a moving collection of songs about love, loss and forgiveness.

The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band brings its signature blend of rock and blues to Mayo Performing Arts Center today, August 16, 2017 at 8 pm.

TajMo: The Taj Mahal & Keb' Mo' Band sees blues titans Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo' share the stage with their bands for an exciting night of music, performing songs from their long-anticipated collaborative album TajMo released in May 2017. Each multi-Grammy Award winners in their own right, this is the first formal collaboration between the two artists.

On last night's LATE SHOW, legendary rock 'n roll guitarist Joe Walsh surprised the crowd with an impromptu performance of one of his most popular tunes, 'Life's Been Good', backed by Jon Batiste and the house band Stay Human.

Described as “dazzling” by the New York Times, Makana is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, singer, composer and activist who is widely known for lending his musical talent for social change. He has been a TEDx talk presenter, and his guitar playing has been featured on three Grammy-nominated albums, including the soundtrack of the Academy-Award winning film “The Descendants”.

HEADLESS - a modern gothic rock-opera ghost story that revisits author Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow from co-writers Bradley Bredeweg (Freeform's 'The Fosters,' Showtime's 'Intersection,' Bill Condon's Side Show on Broadway) and Brad Hooks (Freeform's 'The Fosters') - will be the focus of a new work development lab that will explore the score, story and new stage technology over the course of two and a half weeks at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) in Beverly Hills. The lab will launch on Thursday, July 6 and will culminate with closed presentations today, July 22 and Sunday, July 23 (presentations by private invitation only).
