The new play ROMANCE LANGAUGE will receive its New York City premiere this fall at Theater 511 at Ars Nova (511 W 54th St, New York). Written by Joe Godfrey (A Queer Carol) and directed by Carl Andress (Charles Busch's The Tribute Artist and The Divine Sister), ROMANCE LANGUAGE will star Jessie Austrian (Fiasco Theater's Into the Woods), Audrey Heffernan Meyer ("Royal Pains"), and Jared Zirilli (Pretty Filthy). ROMANCE LANGUAGE begins previews on October 13, 2015, and will officially open Thursday, October 22, 2015, playing a strictly limited engagement through November 8, 2015. The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing professionals, presented the 5th annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards on June 16th at Sardi's, honoring outstanding achievement in Off Broadway theatre for the 2014 - 2015 season. Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Arthur Gelb, Judith Malina and Marian Seldes were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.

As if Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine wasn't a challenging enough piece in the musical theater cannon, Fiasco Theater decided that they would take it on as their latest project, performing it with only 10 actors who also play their own instruments. The success of the production brought it from the McCarter Theater Center in Princeton to The Old Globe in San Diego and finally to Roundabout, at The Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, where it currently is playing to critical acclaim through April 12.
