It's time to man up for the biggest boys night of the year! Spike TV announced today the fourth annual 'Guys Choice' - a one-night-only event for guys where the year's most hotly debated rivalries from the world of sports, comedy, film and more go up against one another mano-a-mano with original categories that embody everything that matters in 'guydom.' The two-hour event pays homage to the things guys love most: superstar athletes, the ladies we love, hilarious comedic performances and legendary rockers. Scheduled to tape Saturday, June 5 at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA, 'Guys Choice' premieres Sunday, June 20 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT) on Spike TV.

BroadwayWorld.com's West Coast Scoopers are telling us this morning that the buzz from the auditions for RENT at the Hollywood Bowl are saying that none other than pop-star and actor Justin Timberlake is director Neil Patrick Harris' top choice to play 'Roger' in the 3 night production.
The rumors aren't totally out of the realm of possiblity as Timberlake is said to have enjoyed all three nights of girlfriend Jessica Biel's performance in GUYS & DOLLS at the Hollywood Bowl last summer.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) announced three productions that it will produce during the 2010-2011 season at the Vivian Beaumont Theater and on Broadway. The first, a musical version of the Pedro Almodóvar film WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, with book by Jeffrey Lane, music and lyrics by David Yazbek and direction by Bartlett Sher, will begin previews Saturday, October 2 when it will reopen the newly restored Belasco Theatre (111 W. 44 Street). Opening night is Thursday, November 4.

Banderas, Hayek & Galifianakis Sign on for 'Shrek' Puss In Boots Spin-Off

Multiple reports have confirmed new progress on the Shrek spin-off, Puss in Boots, slated for release in November of 2011. Zach Galifianakis is allegedly in talks to voice Humpty Dumpty, joining Antonio Banderas as the title character, and Salma Hayek as Kitty. The film will follow Puss in Boots adventures before Shrek 2. The film is written by Tom Wheeler and directed by Chris Miller who co-wrote and co-directed Shrek the Third.

‘Tis been the season of movie stars heading back to their roots on stage this fall. Variety reports today that screen sirens Salma Hayek and Jessica Biel, along with Broadway stars Matthew Morrison and Paulo Szot starring in a private industry reading last weekend of 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,' now in development by Lincoln Center Theatre. They were joined in the reading by Joanna Gleason (Tony Award winner for Into The Woods) and Argentinian actress Mia Maestro (Alias).
