The two-hour event pays homage to the things guys love most: superstar athletes, the ladies we love, hilarious comedic performances and legendary rockers. BroadwayWorld.com's West Coast Scoopers are telling us this morning that the buzz from the auditions for RENT at the Hollywood Bowl are saying that none other than pop-star and actor Justin Timberlake is director Neil Patrick Harris' top choice to play 'Roger' in the 3 night production. The rumors aren't totally out of the realm of possiblity as Timberlake is said to have enjoyed all three nights of girlfriend Jessica Biel's performance in GUYS & DOLLS at the Hollywood Bowl last summer.
Deadline.com's Mike Fleming reports that director John Singleton will helm a new thriller entitled 'Abduction' which will star Twilight's Taylor Lautner. Production is slated to begin July in Pittsburgh.
Patti LuPone, Jessica Biel, Sherie Rene Scott, Paulo Szot and Oscar Isaac are amongst the actors participating in a staged reading of the new musical 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown' at Lincoln Center Theatre next week, reports Variety. Rehearsals are set to begin March 4.
Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) announced three productions that it will produce during the 2010-2011 season at the Vivian Beaumont Theater and on Broadway. The first, a musical version of the Pedro Almodóvar film WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, with book by Jeffrey Lane, music and lyrics by David Yazbek and direction by Bartlett Sher, will begin previews Saturday, October 2 when it will reopen the newly restored Belasco Theatre (111 W. 44 Street). Opening night is Thursday, November 4.

Multiple reports have confirmed new progress on the Shrek spin-off, Puss in Boots, slated for release in November of 2011. Zach Galifianakis is allegedly in talks to voice Humpty Dumpty, joining Antonio Banderas as the title character, and Salma Hayek as Kitty. The film will follow Puss in Boots adventures before Shrek 2. The film is written by Tom Wheeler and directed by Chris Miller who co-wrote and co-directed Shrek the Third.
The Hollywood Reported has revealed that actress Jessica Biel will both produce and star in F***ing Engaged, an adult-only comedy by newcomer Julia Brownell about a couple who make a pact to have sex every day leading to their wedding in an attempt to fight the platonic 'old married couple' syndrome.
