This holiday season, the Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, THE MUSICAL.

Drury Lane Oakbrook, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, IL, presents the winner of 2002's "Best Musical" Tony Award THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, directed by Artistic Director William Osetek.

Opening this week at the high-flying Drury Lane Theatre, in Chicago's far western suburb of Oakbrook Terrace, is "Thoroughly Modern Millie," the 2002 Best Musical Tony winner which gave the world the career of Sutton Foster (and didn't too badly for her male co-stars Gavin Creel and Marc Kudisch). THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the entertaining hit production is being presented by Fellowship for the Performing Arts at The Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe, Phoenix, AZ on Friday, October 30th, Saturday, October 31st and Sunday, November 1st. The play has enjoyed sold-out runs in Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. and now makes its way to Phoenix.

Yesterday evening marked the 41st annual Jeff Equity Awards Ceremony, honoring productions and production companies for excellence in Chicago-area theater. The ceremony took place at at the Skokie's North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.

The Jeff Awards have announced 179 nominations in 35 categories for Chicago Equity theatrical productions which opened between August 1, 2008, and July 31, 2009.
