The acclaimed box office smash, INSIDIOUS, will make its FEARnet debut on Sunday, September 8, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Sundance Institute last evening announced the Jury, Audience, NEXT <=> and other special awards of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival at the feature film Awards Ceremony, hosted by Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Park City, Utah.

A24 announced the acquisition of North American rights to Sundance favorite THE SPECTACULAR NOW. The James Ponsoldt directed film, from a script by Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, has become one of the darlings of the Sundance Film Festival and features breakout performances by Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Ponsoldt, whose film SPECTACULAR NOW is set to premiere at Sundance this year, has been hired to adapt the young adult trilogy PURE for Fox 2000. Karen Rosenfelt is producing.

Yesterday, the Sundance Institute announced the films from next year's Film Festival that will have a special screening in ten independent theaters across the United States. The screening will take place on January 31, 2013 as part of 'Sundance Film Festival USA.
