In a coup for South Australia, it has been announced that the great British director Peter Brook's production of The Suit will play exclusively in Adelaide for State Theatre Company in October. Exclusivity for the Australian premiere has been secured with the support of the South Australian Tourism Commission, which will also support a targeted marketing campaign to theatre-goers from Melbourne and Sydney.

The University of Washington School of Drama showcases the work of first year students in their Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) in the final show of their 2013-2014 season. Jean-Claude Grumberg's The Workroom is a stunning portrait of two male and six female laborers surviving in Paris after World War II. This challenging play presents the PATP students with an opportunity to broaden their dramatic acting skills as they relay the emotional story of eight survivors desperately trying to sew together the fragments of their severed post-war lives.

Performing at the Lincoln Center is the be-all and end-all for dancers. The stakes are high, the pressure is on, and everyone is watching you. This is what all dancers aspire to. Needless to say, my expectations were high going into the evening. So how did Ballet Preljocaj hold up to the pressure? They left me breathless. The outstanding company proved why this is the dream for dancers. Just when you think that dance has nothing new to offer, that every performance you see is the same old, same old, something like this comes along and restores your faith in dance.
