La MaMa presents the World Premiere of IF COLORADO HAD AN OCEAN… by Mike Gorman. Directed by David Bennett, previews begin December 4 with opening night slated for Thursday, December 11, 2014.

Confirming previously reported rumors, the new project will be a collaboration between Sondheim and contemporary American playwright David Ives. The project, whose title was not announced, will be based on two classic films by Spanish filmmaker Luis Buñuel. The two separate films will be the basis for one complete story which the characters will exist in seamlessly. The first half will be based on The 1972 film 'The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie' and the second half will be based on the 1962 film 'The Exterminating Angel.'

From November 8 to 16, New Media Repertory Company, 512 East 80th Street, will present 'Out Of Their Minds' by David Willinger, a tale of thwarted love between Lucia Joyce (daughter of James Joyce) and the young Samuel Beckett. Miranda McDermott directs.

State Theatre Company and Adina Apartment Hotels in association with Arts Projects Australia and the Adelaide Festival Centre present PETER BROOK'S THE SUIT in a run exclusive to Adelaide from the Theatre des Bouffes du Nord. Amphibian Stage Productions today announced casting for its final main stage production of the 2014 season, Fully Committed. Russell Saylor will star in this comedy, running Thursday, October 30 through Sunday, November 23 at Amphibian's Berlene T. & Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at 120 S. Main Street.
