The Public Theater announced a final one-week extension today for the world premiere play DRY POWDER by Sarah Burgess and directed by Thomas Kail. Part of Oskar Eustis' 10th Anniversary season, this  deliciously funny new drama about the people shaping, and skewing, the American economy begins previews on Tuesday, March 1 and has now been extended a final week to Sunday, May 1, with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 22.

The Public Theater welcomes HOMELAND's Claire Danes, Hank Azaria, and Sanjit De Silva, joining John Krasinksi in the world premiere of Sarah Burgess' DRY POWDER, a 'new drama about the people shaping, and skewing, the American economy.'

The producers of NERDS, a new musical dot-comedy about the rise and rivalry of tech trailblazers Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, have announced the full cast!

The new musical dot-comedy Nerds will open at Broadway's Longacre Theatre on April 21st, 2016 following preview performances which were previously announced as beginning March 31st, but it appears previews have been bumped by a day. According to the Telecharge website, the show will begin previews on April 1st instead.

DIAMOND (Stick Fly), directed by Tony® Award winner KENNY LEON (A Raisin in the Sun, The Wiz Live!). MAHERSHALA ALI (House of Cards), JOSHUA JACKSON (The Affair), ANNE SON (My Generation), and TESSA THOMPSON (Creed) will co-star in the production.

The Drama Book Shop will host author and lighting designer Ann E. McMills on January 11th at 5pm as she celebrates the release of her new book, The Assistant Lighting Designer's Toolkit. McMills will be on hand to discuss and sign copies of the book, priced at $39.95.
