IN THE HEIGHTS creator Lin-Manuel Miranda confirmed today Andrea Burns' participation in the musical's upcoming reunion concert.

On Monday, December 17, the monthly "Frank & Friends" concert took place as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series. Once again, multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer and host Frank Wildhorn gathered some of his talented pals to sing his pop and theater songs, but this night was extra-special. Over the past few months, Wildhorn has used the concerts to raise funds for The Actors Fund, so to celebrate the years end, he presented a check for $4000 to the Fund's Tim Pinckney.

Broadway at Birdland has announced the continuation of the partnership with multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn with two holiday-themed "Frank & Friends" concerts. These evenings will celebrate the holiday songs and favorite performers from the composer's wide range of work in popular, theatrical and classical music. All profits will go to The Actors Fund, a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in the performing arts and entertainment.

In the Heights, the 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, will make a return with much of its original Broadway cast for one night only this February.

A favorite among contemporary musical theatre lovers, Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years has been championed as one of his best. After the show opened at the Minetta Lane Theatre in 2002, its original cast recording under the new Sh-K-Boom label spread like wildfire through communities of aspiring young actors and composers, inspiring a new generation of musical theatre. Brown has been recognized as a leader in adapting theatre for modern audiences and creating pieces that are so relatable, they are almost cathartic.

This talk back/coaching session will give participants the unique opportunity to talk one-on-one with a Drama Desk Award-winning leading lady about her journey to Broadway. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, hear backstage stories and learn some of the tricks of the trade. After the talk back session, participants are asked to come prepared with a headshot, resume and song of their choice, as Janet will coach them through their material.

The fifth production of the 2012 Hangar season is a true American classic, Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful. This intensely moving and riveting story of acceptance and coming home again will be directed by the Hangar's Associate Artistic Director Stephanie Yankwitt (Hangar's Rounding Third) and features a cast of local favorites including Susannah Berryman (Hangar's Penelope of Ithaca, The Chalk Circle, Cabaret, and The Rainmaker) and Jesse Bush (Hangar's Ever So Humble, Disney's Beauty and the Beast). The Trip to Bountiful opens tonight, September 7, and runs through September 15th.
