On August 6th, the World Premiere of GLEE The 3D Concert Movie took place at the Mann Village Theater. According to USA Today, Jane Lynch has been completely cut from the theatrical release of the film, but will be featured on the DVD. Though Lynch did not tour with the rest of the cast, she appeared at one of the concert stops.

Multi-hyphenate comic impresarios Steve Carell (The Office) and David Steinberg (Sit Down Comedy with David Steinberg) are bringing the biggest names in comedy to the table as executive producers of LAUGHING STOCK, a revealing new comedy interview series featuring the world's funniest personalities, one-on-one with host Steinberg, it was announced today by SHOWTIME President of Entertainment David Nevins. Iconic talent spanning five decades will discuss the art of comedy, evolution of the genre and their ascension to the top of their field. Carell and Steinberg will serve as executive producers, alongside Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock for Carousel Productions, with Steinberg also serving as Director and Host. The ten, half-hour episodes will debut on SHOWTIME in early 2012.

It was announced today that Emmanuelle Chriqui, Roslyn Ruff and Zuzanna Szadkowski will join upcoming casts of the hit Off Broadway show Love, Loss, and What I Wore, now playing at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).
GLEE's ensemble already includes Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Mike O'Malley, Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, Mark Salling, Darren Criss, Chord Overstreet, and Jenna Ushkowitz - and the show will add even more to the mix with the introduction of a slew of new characters for the third season.
The nominations were released earlier this month for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards. Mad Men topped the list with 19 nominations, followed by Boardwalk Empire with 18, Modern Family with 17, Saturday Night Live with 16, Game of Thrones and 30 Rock with 13 and GLEE with 12. Matthew Morrison, the Broadway regular who made his way to television stardom on the FOX hit GLEE, has joined the cast of the film 'What to Expect When You're Expecting.'
Earlier this week BroadwayWorld reported that a handful of GLEE characters, including Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Cory Monteith, will not return for Season 4. 'We made that decision and I involved Chris and Lea,' Murphy confirmed in an interview wit the Hollywood Reporter, adding that 'they thought that was a good idea. They both trust the writing and trust me and felt that it would be great to have an open and closed experience for them to go out while they were on top.'
