Project Grand Slam Comes to the Metropolitan Room Tonight

Project Grand Slam makes its Metropolitan Debut just before the year's end. Acid Jazz Magazine has described Project Grand Slam (PGS) as 'a spectacular mix of jazz, fusion and rock that combines melody, groove and great improvisation'. The group is led by Robert Miller who is also a bassist and composer for the group. They will be rocking the Metropolitan Room in NYC tonight, December 3 at 7pm.

John Schneider and Tom Wopat -- the original stars of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' -- will appear at Barnes & Noble for a special in-store performance and CD signing to celebrate their new album Home for Christmas tonight, December 3 at 7 PM. The special holiday recording, which is currently available from D13 Entertainment in stores and online, commemorates the 35th Anniversary of the iconic TV show.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is searching for musically talented students to audition for the fourth annual vocal competition celebrating the New Year. The deadline for submissions has been extended through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, December 12.

54 Below Welcomes New Programming Producers, Sets Original Events

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will welcome five original programming producers: Scott Coulter, Shoshana Feinstein, Brandon Ivie, Benjamin Rauhala, and T. Oliver Reid. In their new capacity, the five producers have been commissioned to create a variety of shows including musicals in concert, songwriter celebrations, reunion concerts, and more.

The Peter Mayer Group is coming to the region bringing the 14th annual national Christmas Show, Stars & Promises: Evergreen. Playing a blend of traditional favorites and original Christmas compositions, this unique musical journey of story and song is not to be missed. Mayer's dynamic ensemble uses a wide variety of folk, world music, rock, and jazz styling to accompany his virtuosic voice and guitar work, creating a musical journey of stories and songs. "The concert features music for the Christmas journey. A song to travel roads old and new to the peace and joy of Christmas, and share a song of hope to lead us on," says a release announcing the tour.
