JESSICA LANG DANCE 5th Season - Three New York Premieres and More Beginning Tonight!

Jessica Lang Dance, under the artistic direction of choreographer Jessica Lang, will celebrate its 5th Anniversary season with a week-long engagement at The Joyce Theater on June 14 – 19, 2016, featuring five pieces, including three New York premieres. There will be a post-performance Curtain Chat discussion with Lang and dancers from the company following the performance on June 15.

American Ballet Theatre Elects New Board Chairman

The Board of Governing Trustees of American Ballet Theatre has elected Andrew F. Barth Chairman and Brian J. Heidtke President.  The elections, which become effective immediately, were announced today by Kara Medoff Barnett, ABT Executive Director.  Barth succeeds Donald Kramer who has held the position as Chairman since 2011. Heidtke succeeds Sharon Patrick who has served as President since 2009.

On June 4, 2016, The Elliott Dance Company (EDC), under the direction of Kim Elliott, presented A Night of Diversity Dance Concert at the Jacqueline K. Onassis Theater on West 46th Street in NYC. This was a special performance for a few reasons. For one, this is the last performance by the EDC, as the company is planning on taking a hiatus from performing. And second, Ms. Elliott being a graduate of the Jacqueline K. Onassis High School, is happy to come back and perform where it all started.

Windsor Jesters Opens Tracy Letts' AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY Today

Windsor Jesters Spring 2016 Production, August: Osage County by Tracy Letts, opens today, June 9. This is the first show in the group's 65th season; Connecticut's oldest continuously performing Community Theater. Show dates are today, June 9, 10, 11, 17 and 18. Company of Fools to Open 21st Season with GREY GARDENS

?Company of Fools (COF) opens its 21st season with the haunting and often hilarious  musical, Grey Gardens, with book by Doug Wright, music by Scott Frankel and lyrics by Michael Korie. Performances run June 28-July 20 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. When it premiered on Broadway in 2006, Grey Gardens was hailed as Time magazine's number one show of the year and garnered 10 Tony Award nominations.

Asolo Rep to Offer Free HETTY FEATHER Tickets to Area Youth, Discounted Family Ticket Packages

Thanks to the generosity of Asolo Repertory Theatre's Board of Directors and Energy Today, the theatre has provided more than 360 complimentary tickets and transportation for area children to experience Asolo Rep's U.S. premiere of U.K. sensation HETTY FEATHER. Young people associated with Girls Inc., the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County, the Visible Men Academy, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast will attend performances throughout June. The Jewish Family & Children's Service of the Suncoast provided additional tickets for students from Booker Middle School. This initiative continues Asolo Rep's ongoing dedication to bring world class theatre to patrons of all ages and inspire a passion for theatre in younger generations.

Arena Stage Now Seeking Participants for 2016-17 Kogod Cradle Series

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater is seeking proposals from theater companies, ensembles and individual artists interested in participating in the 2016/17 Kogod Cradle Series as part of the American Voices New Play Institute. Now in its fifth season, the Kogod Cradle Series supports the exploration and development of new and emerging work in the theater's intimate 200-seat Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle.

Victory Gardens to Host Benefit Peformance of THE HOUSE THAT WILL NOT STAND in Support of Chicago Artist Sam Roberson

Victory Gardens Theater will host a special benefit performance of The House That Will Not Stand by Ensemble Playwright Marcus Gardley, directed by VG Artistic Director Chay Yew, in support of Congo Square Theatre's Artistic Director Sam G. Roberson, Jr. on June 18, 2016 at 7:30 pm. Victory Gardens will donate fifty percent of the proceeds from the performance to assist Roberson with housing, food and medical care as he waits for a heart and kidney transplant. The evening will include a pre-show reception starting at 6:30 pm to celebrate Sam followed by the performance at 7:30 pm.
