The cast album for Chip Deffaa's hit gay musical, 'Mad About the Boy,' which broke box-office records at New York's historic 13th Street Repertory Theater, is out now. 

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) has announced the return of the highly acclaimed and widely popular holiday show, "Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin." The newly announced show, a holiday offering during the downtown theatre's 42nd season, features songs by Irving Berlin and a book by Hershey Felder, with direction from longtime Felder collaborator Trevor Hay. The show's run begins on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 and plays through Sunday, January 7, 2018 with a press opening on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 8 p.m. on the Lyceum Stage Theatre at San Diego REP in Horton Plaza.

Jack White, the highly revered singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer, has signed a first-ever global, multi-year agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) to administer the iconic artist's entire song catalog.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley completes its 2016/2017 season with the regional premiere of a newly revised work by acclaimed performer and playwright Hershey Felder. Following his triumph as Irving Berlin at TheatreWorks, the brilliant Hershey Felder will bring Ludwig van Beethoven to life through the eyes of a Viennese doctor who spent his boyhood by the Maestro's side in Hershey Felder, Beethoven. The Chicago Sun Times called the world premiere of this compelling portrait "a hypnotic production…a chamber music piece of exquisite beauty." Directed by Joel Zwick, Hershey Felder, Beethoven will be presented June 7 - July 2, 2017 (press opening: June 10) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St., Mountain View.  Kritzerland announces a new concert event coming on Sunday, May 7, 2017 entitled "May Madness." This entertaining evening will take place at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal in North Hollywood, California. The 77th Kritzerland show will feature fun and fancy-free "May Madness" offerings.  It's an anything goes show, culled from a whole potpourri of eclectic and unusual material.  Surprises are in store.

Centenary Stage Company announces exciting line-up of musical guests for the 2017 Summer Jamfest.  Set to rock the Lackland Performing Arts Center all summer long, Centenary Stage Company's 2017 Summer Jamfest will feature; Drive:  A Tribute to the Cars on Saturday, July 15 at 8pm; The Doo Wah Riders on Saturday, July 22 at 8pm; The British Invasion Years on Saturday, July 29 at 8pm; the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra on Saturday, August 5 at 8pm and Dr. K's Motown Revue on Saturday, August 12 at 8pm.  All performances will be held in the Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Performing Arts Center.

Paper Mill Playhouse, recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has announced casting for the hit Broadway musical Mary Poppins based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney Film with original music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, book by Julian Fellowes, new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, and co-created by Cameron Mackintosh. In a world premiere event, the producers of the world's biggest magic show, THE ILLUSIONISTS, have teamed up with the award-winning puppeteers from WAR HORSE, to bring a thrilling turn-of-the-century circus spectacular. Dallas Summer Musicals, Inc. (DSM) announces the appointment of Kenneth T. Novice as its President. For one night, folk music legend Pete Seeger's legacy in song was celebrated by a diverse array of musical talent. The Kennedy Center Concert Hall stage held a who's who including multiple Grammy winners, living legends and up-and-coming artists performing in tribute to the singer and activist Pete Seeger. Harold Sanditen, the versatile performer and host of the uber popular Harold Sanditen's Open Mic Party at London's Crazy Coqs will be taking FLYIN' HIGH to his hometown of Tulsa for one night only. On Monday, May 22nd at 7pm, he will be appearing at the Performing Arts Center at Cascia Hall as part of Life Senior Services Musical Monday series.
