Tonight's October 18th performance of Trainspotting USA, Tom Mullen's "re-adaptation" of Harry Gibson's stage versions of Irvine Welsh's classic novel Trainspotting will include a post-show talkback with Mullen and Welsh, moderated by Tara Branham. The talkback will begin immediately following a 7 pm performance at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago.

Irvine Welsh's classic novel Trainspotting, which in 1996 was adapted as both a feature film by Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle and a play by Harry Gibson, will come to the Chicago stage in October in a new American adaptation of Gibson's play. This new version of Welsh's graphic and uncompromising story of young heroin addicts living in Edinburgh, Scotland has been re-imagined and set in Kansas City, Missouri.

The 60th edition of the San Sebastian Festival will this year bestow its Donostia Awards on actors John Travolta, Ewan McGregor and Tommy Lee Jones and the Special 60th Anniversary Donostia Award going to director Oliver Stone. In 1969, Jones made his Broadway debut in John Osborne's A Patriot for Me. His other Broadway appearances include Four on a Garden and Ulysses in Nighttown.
